Powerhouse Youth Project
The Powerhouse Youth Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation. Since our inception in 1994 in Nashville, Tennessee, we have been committed to impacting today’s youth in ways that will change the trajectory of their futures, particularly those at risk.
We believe that our youth are the nation’s greatest asset. Through our innovative programs and strategies, we aim to engage and equip America’s youth for life after high school. Our signature initiative, the “Pathway to Purpose” strategy, is designed to guide young people in making informed, purposeful choices that will lead to successful and fulfilling lives. We are creating “Direction beyond the Diploma”.
Powerhouse Youth Project delivers an on-campus, experiential student development program that equips students with the direction, skills, and support needed to succeed beyond high school. Through its Pathway to Purpose model, Powerhouse combines high-energy assemblies, interactive classroom sessions, career assessments, and mentorship to engage students in meaningful personal and professional growth.
Students gain clarity on their strengths and career interests, develop essential life and workforce skills, and connect with mentors and industry professionals. The program culminates in real-world exposure opportunities that align students with college, certification, and career pathways.
Powerhouse’s approach is designed to move students from uncertainty to action—increasing engagement, strengthening post-graduation outcomes, and providing clear direction beyond the diploma.
